Run for the Border.... Wisconsin border that is.
I would say it was close to the border, but I stopped short of taking a peek at the USS Detroit that Marinette Marine just launched. I was in Menominee Lodge 269 this evening for a visit. It turned out to be a membership retention talk and community involvement conversation. While I was there, I cracked the safe for them. Funny how your skill set comes in handy when you least expect it. Enjoyed chatting with my old time buddy Bill Evans, who I have worked with in Masonry for 30 years. Also greeted Jordan who was raised a Master Mason only several days ago. He was in Iron Mountain when we did the EA degree as GLOs. Three more Lodge visits will allow me to check off another on my Bucket List, of visiting all 18 of the Lodges in the Upper Peninsula. I think I have visited 7 Lodges below the bridge so far also, with several more to come.....I know ole man winter is around the corner, so I'm trying to get as much driving in as I can while its nice.
