It been a Grand Day ... Wisconsin Style

Today has been the business of the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin. I have made connections with Bill Beecher, and his wife Pat several years ago, and felt it important to come visit and witness his installation.  Today I listened to the business of their Grand Lodge, got a few ideas, then at 4:30 Bill was installed as the new Grand Master.  Hung out with Grand Master Hoffman from Delaware as well as the guys from Minnesota, Ohio, Indiana, Maryland and New York.  Staying at the Concourse Hotel, its right across the street from the State Capitol.  The boys in Wisconsin treat you well, and coming back another year is something to look forward to. Dan, this past years Grand Master became a Mason due to his daughters being in Job's Daughters. It was mentioned on several occasions, and it was nice to see his family come and support him on the last few days of his administration.

The Knights Templar were on hand to welcome Grand Master to the East.   I had 37 Sir Knights for an escort when I was installed, which made my heart swell with pride for the York Rite.  If you have served as a Commander of a Commandery, they will form an Arch of Steel for you to pass under, which was the case today for Grand Master Beecher. Tomorrow early, its off to Alma, where I will enjoy a day of fellowship with my Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation membership, as we Celebrate the Lewis Cass Legacy Society Black Tie Event.  These mambers have pledged a part of their estate to the Charitable Foundation, and we hold this unique event each year to honor them for their contribution while they are still living.  What a unique concept, which I will talk more about another day.....
