Happy Birthday to another visionary - Mom Mick

The International Order of Job's Daughters, recently renamed "Job's Daughters International" was founded by Ethel T. Weed Mick.  Today is Mom Micks birthday, and the Masonic Youth group has promised to celebrate this day each year when it comes around.  March 9th will forever be the day when these young women celebrate the birthday of this Nebraska woman. Mom Mick seen the potential in the Young Women who had masonic affiliation, and banded them together, from ages 12 to 20. Today that age has went down to a 10 year old being able to join Job's Daughters. The Order has been around since 1920 and enjoys an ever increasing membership around the world, with the fastest growth in Brasil. Leadership Skills, running a Business meeting, Team work, socialization of new friends, networking, innovative thinking are all part of the group. Local gatherings are called Bethels, and the girls meet twice a month to plan and execute their programs. Based on the Book of Job 42:15 "In all the Land were no women found so fair, as the Daughters of Job", these young women can be seen today in prominent roles throughout our society, due largely to their Job's Daughter experience.
