Youth need to play. Education and work ethic are all good, but sometimes you just need to take a weekend, and enjoy hanging out playing games, swimming, snow football and whatever else you can find to have fun doing. This is the weekend for Michigan's Demolay. They have invited the Job's Daughters and Rainbow girls to come and partake in the festivities also. You will find the Grand Master taking a much needed break from shoveling snow in the Great White North to traverse the state and spend a little time at Winterfest. Sleep is optional....
At breakfast this morning I was informed that Colin Hayward, a resident here at Pathway passed away this morning. Colin enjoyed the paper work end of the organizations, and he was the Public eye so to speak, keeping everyone informed of events with his journalistic talent. I have known you for many years dear brother, and I will miss your smiling face, even when your health said there was nothing to smile about.
Here is an interesting tidbit of information I learned this morning. Every Friday several brothers, most from Alma Lodge 244, and residents here at Masonic Pathways, make popcorn for everyone on the campus, including staff. As most know, popcorn is brain food, it helps stimulate thought, and many school booster clubs make it for students around each holiday. Plus, its just a fun thing to make, and to eat. Good Job WM Duane Todd on working the machine, the kernels were at your mercy today. I was told 500 bags made every Friday. Wow....
