Stay Inspired ... remarks to the Youth

Well, it was time to have breakfast, awards and closing remarks for the weekend.  I asked everyone if they remembered the two words on the room keys. "Stay Inspired".  It's great to be inspired, and I was this weekend, but it is quite another story to stay inspired.  in a world fraught with negative, instant gratification, looking and emulating someone you are not, it is difficult to hang onto the real "you".  This journey is not meant to fill anyone's shoes but your own.  We were created unique for a purpose.  To be the best we can be, not the best puppet we can be, or the best copy we can be.  I am concerned about music remakes, and remixes, and look a likes.  We have original sound tracks or pictures to help us recall the greats.  Frankly, we are looking for the next "greats".  That could be any one of us, if we will only allow the greatness and oneness of who we are to shine outward.  We can be inspired to be ourselves, to walk our own path, to make mistakes, to have successes, to be who we want to be.  Because of association with others, we will naturally take on the positive things we see in others, but we must, I repeat, we must allow the original 'us" to be seen by others.  If we live our lives as emulation of others, we will lead a dual life, secreting the real us inside. So as hard as it is, stay inspired, speak up when you see someone being bullied for who they are. Stop the negative behavior.  Grasp the uniqueness which is in each of us. We will surely see more personalities like DiVinci, Mozart, Washington, Cass, Ford, Nicholson (gottcha).
It will behoove you to be "you".
