The Sabbath

Its to most wonderful time of the year.  My mind harkens back to Jimmy Stuart in those wonderful lessons of the season.  To the George Bailey's of the Building and Loan, and other characters. As these old favorite play time and time again over the airwaves, I wonder if we really take the time to understand the lessons being taught, or do we just romanticize the story and an old familiar tail, much like we have the Wizard of Oz (which was also on just this past week) Today we had the opportunity to attend Church, partake of the beautiful voices that have been rehearsed for weeks, preparing for this very hour.  It was nice to be able to attend, it has become a commodity of late.  I looked forward to a day of rest, and for the most part it was, but I engaged in the busyness of preparing for our Stephanie to come home from SLC for Christmas.  It'll be fun to have her home for a few days, and get reacquainted.  There is so much activity in our lives, we often forget to pay attention whats happening in the family. I hope you will take time to write a note, make a visit, or renew an old acquaintance this holiday season.  Life is too short not to reach out and touch someone. If you don't do it now, you may never have another opportunity.  Life isn't forever on this earth.
