The Sabbath, travel day

Another enjoyable weekend in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.  To recap, I was in Mount Pleasant Friday Night to install Richard Holland as Worshipful Master or Wabon Lodge # 305.  On Saturday early afternoon, I installed the Officers of Alma Lodge # 244 in the Doig Chapel at Masonic Pathways with WB Duane Todd becoming the Master. . It was fine installation, and PGM Turton stayed for the installation and then headed to Florida for a couple months.  Safe travels Wayne, and thank you for being my installing Chaplain.  After visiting with the brothers of Alma Lodge for a few minutes, I took leave to head south and east to Pinckney, and Livingston Lodge # 76, where I installed the Officers there with Darel "Butch" Winslow becoming the Worshipful Master.  It has been since 1938 that a sitting Grand Master came to install the officers of this Lodge. Enjoyed company of old friends, met several new friends, and shared stories of folks who have connections with Yoopers. Today was travel day home, slept in a bit, it seems the only time I get to is on Sunday these days.  Got home around 8:30 pm, and I must admit, I think I was tired of driving. Will head back down this next Friday for what I view as a significant event for Michigan Masonry. We will be closing on the Warwick Living Center acquisition.
