The Farthest Lodge West in the Upper Peninsula is Ironwood Lodge No. 389. WM Doug Mead is presiding over this group of men. Highly esteemed bunch, from Charlie Best, who I have worked side by side with for over 25 years, to WB Andy Tait the resident Doctor and specialist in Electronic Devices ;-) (WB Tait was having difficulty with his phone misbehaving and being loud through most of the meeting, even if it was in another room, haa haa) They did a Proficiency Examination on Brother Morgan to be advanced to the MM Degree, and all went well. Other than a small issue with the infirmities of age, this Lodge is ok. Its in a very old city, its members are steadfast in their support, and I am proud to be their Grand Master. I travelled 190 miles from Munising to reach Ironwood. So the next time your all whiny about getting in the car and travelling 20 miles or 10 miles or 5 miles to visit or go to Lodge, think about jumping in my car and riding over to visit the boys in Ironwood. Did I tell you that Ironwood is also the home of the famous Stormy Kroemer?
You dont know what those are? well..... there's your homework. Put on your thinking caps ;-)
