Grand Lodge Officers to a Degree, I get Roasted..... Wow.

Grand Lodge Officers and 4 new Brothers
Saturday morning the Grand Lodge Officers and a bunch of other Masons jumped on a bus to Iron Mountain Lodge 388 for portrayal of the Entered Apprentice Degree on 4 candidates.  It was a very rewarding day, one event that the Grand Lodge Officers have not done in many many years.  We came together as Brothers, no practices, and pulled off a fairly close rendition of the EA degree. I did this for a few reasons. One, I wanted to spend time with my Officers, and what better way that to do degree work.  Second, I want the membership of the state to know that, although we are busy with the business of running this Grand Lodge and making sure the craft is on a correct course, we need to remain approachable, serviceable to our fellow men, and it gives an opportunity to the men in the fraternity to visit with us on their level. I am so grateful to have an amazing line of officers, that stepped up to work and enjoyed the day in the final analysis.

We rolled back into Escanaba about 4 pm, not a whole lot of time to get refreshed, but I managed to wring out my Tux shirt for round two ;-)  Pictures were taken by my ever awesome photographer Elaine, and those pics will be forthcoming, stay tuned. I have known Elaine since she was but a little girl running around church.  My how time flies....

The reception started with The Weather Forecast of course.... Click on weather to listen to this hilarious clip from our local TV Forecaster Karl Bohnak. My Grand Officer lined up and presented me with many renditions of Deer that I may have used to total a vehicle a year for the past 5 years.
