Grand Lodge Officers |
Worked a half day, headed for Mt. Pleasant and enjoyed and Evening with the Girls of Michigan Rainbow. My entire line of Grand Lodge Officers were present for the Formal Opening. It was a great showing of Grand Lodge support for our Youth.
We presented the Rainbow Girls with our Support of $ 18,500 to use for their programs. Then I presented Miss Robyn Miller with a $ 1,500 scholarship for college to thank her for her service to the Masonic Family and Rainbow in paticular.
I then took a breath and announced an EXCITING program for all Assemblies, Bethels and Chapters of our Michigan Masonic Youth Groups.

Miss Robyn and Grand Master |
If each local Chapter, Bethel or Assembly will raise $100 to plan a "Make a difference" event in their area, The Grand Lodge and Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation will match it dollar for dollar, so they will have $200 to plan, implement and execute a project to impact their area and make themselves known in their area. The Chapter, Assembly or Bethel that has been judged to do the most good with the $200 will be invited (the whole local group) to come to the Grand Lodge Annual Communication next May, speak about their project to the Grand Lodge, and enjoy a canoe trip or a ride on a Tall Sailing Schooner or one of the other many exciting activities that are planned. Plus, there is one final surprise that will be revealed to that Organization at Grand Lodge. The Challenge has been announced....... $ 200 to make a difference.
