Well, here we are assembled for the 3rd Annual Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation Bowl-a-Thon. Adults and Youth from all over Michigan have gathered to enjoy a day of socializing and fun. Pizza and pop, prizes and plaques for those who can manage that heavy ball to the end of the chute and drop those white penguins where they stand.
Several Grand Lodge officers, members of the MMCF board of trustees and Lodge Brothers were on hand for the festive activities. I was there, took several pictures, but didn't bowl. I did bring the winning team of youth though, so I guess that counts for something. Yes, the Grand Master's minions walked away with the plaques for first place. At first my grandson thought they were not including us because of me, then they announce the willing team, and he lit up.
Demolay, Rainbow Girls, Job's Daughters and the leaders were participating in abundance, and we filled 46 lanes with bowlers. The Masonic Youth groups will be the ultimate beneficiary for today's activities.
Mark your calendars for March 12th next year, and lets make the 4th annual Bowl-a-thon even bigger and better than this year! Missed the Fun ? Check out the Highlights by clicking here !
