I woke up this morning, it was a beautiful day, and I peered at the radar, which told me there were no clouds over the Keewenaw Peninsula. For those that keep track, this stretch of Michigan is surrounded by Lake Superior, and this time of year typically is receiving 2 to 5 inches of snow daily. Today was the exception, so in the car and off I went. It was a nice ride, and true to form, when I turned into the Lodge Driveway, there was 8 inches of snow, I thought to myself, oh boy, I'm not getting outta here any time soon. Well, the old totaled LeSabre with angry winter tires didn't even hesitate, and when the evening was over, I went through it, as though it were plowed.
It was an fine evening of fellowship, meeting and installation of Lodge officers. I had the pleasure of installing WB Dave LaCrosse as Worshipful Master. He has a 17 yr old son, who was also present, that is ready to be a Mason. He has been coming with dad to the Lodge since he was 8, and he ask me last night if there was a "Young Masons" group, without having to join and form Demolay....... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Thank you Brothers for an enjoyable visit to an awesome Lodge. Look well to the Copper Country....
