Grand Lodge Board approves Masonic Pathways Acquisition of Warwick Living Center

As your Grand Master it is with a great sense of pride and accomplishment that I announce that on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, The Grand Lodge of Michigan Board of Directors unanimously voted to approve the Masonic Pathways purchase of Warwick Living Center.

Prior to receiving Grand Lodge Board approval, following the Fraternity sanctioned acquisition protocol and an extensive due diligence process, Masonic Pathways C.E.O., Cindy Bosley, presented the opportunity to the Masonic Pathways Finance Committee, Michigan Masonic Home Board and the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation Board.

With their unanimous approval, the recommendation was presented to your Grand Lodge Board, put to a vote and permission was granted to move forward with the opportunity of adding Warwick Living Center to the Masonic Pathways Continuum.

Warwick Living Center, located just a few blocks away from the Masonic Pathways campus, is a state of the art nursing care property with 45 private rooms, divided into three 15 room neighborhoods. All on one level, each neighborhood includes a kitchen and dining area, cozy and comfortable sitting and activity area, and easily accessed outdoor living space.

The current owners have created an atmosphere and a quality of care that matches perfectly with that of Grand Lodge of Michigan, Masonic Fraternity and Masonic Pathways mission and values.
It is interesting to note that prior to moving to their new location, Warwick Living Center was known as Wilcox Nursing Home and was housed in the original Masonic Home hospital. It only seems fitting that they would once again have ties to the Michigan Masons and become a part of the Masonic Pathways Legacy of Caring.

The official purchase date is scheduled for January 1, 2015. A special dedication ceremony is planned for Saturday, April 18, 2015 and it will be my honor to preside over those proceedings. Please mark your calendar and plan to join me as I congratulate Cindy Bosley, and the entire Masonic Pathways team, on this, their latest major accomplishment.
