Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation - New Faces, Same Places

Once every few months the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation board (MMCF) meets.  It is a very busy meeting, with an eye single to the programs of Grand Lodge that the foundation support, which include Masonic Pathways. In all there are 16 programs. It would be worth your while to investigate their website  to learn what the Charitable arm of the Fraternity has to offer.  It used to be, that we supported our communities and our home for the aged exclusively, but that has changed. now we offer assistance to Brothers in need through scholarship assistance and the Almoners fund. It is important that we take care of our own first, right ?

So back to the meeting, Its a quick trip to Lansing for me after a half day of work. Today I presided over the election of officers, our new foundation President is Fred Kaiser Jr, PGM, our Vice-President is Omar Flores and our Secretary is Bob Conley, PGM.

Interestingly enough, the old president opens the meeting, and after the election I turn the gavel over to the new President, and of course, without hesitation MWB Fred led us through the rest of the meeting.  We heard of the activities happening at Masonic Pathways both now and in the future by our CEO Mrs. Bosley. they are focused, and on course to fulfill the mission of the Foundation as well as Masonic Pathways.  We also heard of the charitable activities which are happening and happened, by our Executive Director Walt Wheeler, PGM. The board also welcomed Brother Dennis Copley as a new member of the board.

Have you thought about your Charitable foundation lately?  How about "clicking on this link" and making a monthly $ 10.00 donation to your Foundation ? Every dollar counts, and I promise it doesn't hurt a bit..

This is only one aspect of the "business" part of the position of Grand Master.....
