I started the day at 10 am with a visit in the Grand Living Room. We had 27 residents with us. Its a time I can share my thoughts with them, and they can ask questions or voice concerns they may have, either with their home here, or with Grand Lodge. I will be visiting each third Tuesday with the folks, and I hope to hear of their positive experiences living here also.
Erwin Craig & Grand Master LeVeque |
11:00 am came around, and I was honored and humbled to present Erwin Craig with his 60 year Membership pin. Now you may think I made a mistake in the title by saying 60 tears.... I did not.
Erwin is 93 years old, and in very good health for his age. Today was a good day for Erwin. He lives in Ashlar Hall, our dementia care hall. Time is so fleeting.... are you living your life to the fullest ?
Noon comes around and its time to take a break and have lunch with the decision makers in all three corporations. These are the working folks that I trust to govern our very large organization. We converse about events, strategic plans, successes, failures, weak spots, strong spots and all aspects of current issues. Today we talked about an exciting plan that I will be talking about more as time goes on.
1:30 pm I met with a few brothers in the Grand Lodge Office to discuss a situation that could affect the performance of my officers. We came to an agreement that will make it work for both organizations, which I agreed to, and hope will work. Delegation of Authority is always a good idea.
2:30 pm was our Grand Lodge Board of Directors meeting. Lots of business, though we got done in adequate time. I appreciate the time my Officers take to be present and give input.
