The journey of 525,600 minutes, starts with one step. It has taken a community of Family, Friends, Brothers, Sisters and acquaintances to get me to this point. The back drop is Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Michigan. Our new Grand Lodge officers were installed, and I invite you to witness that installation:

We are off to lead another year of Freemasonry in the State of Michigan, we have a new Grand Secretary, MWB Bob Conley, Robert Troutman is our new Steward, and Doug Wolfe graciously accepted my newly created position of Grand Soloist. Our newly elected Grand Marshal at the bottom of the elected line is Bob Cooper. Bob will be in charge of all our public ceremonies, planning and making sure all the details are worked out before we arrive for the event. WB Cooper also waits on my needs, and that alone can be extremely busy work. Taking attendance of Grand Lodge Officers for each event, making sure I am properly attired before an event, may need refreshment in the middle of speaking or someone to hand items that are presented to me, for safe keeping. The office of Grand Master has many facets to it, and as we make this journey, I will share them with you, that you can more fully understand the service a man renders as a Grand Lodge Officer.
Today, I crossed the Mackinac Bridge a different soul than I was when I drove south on Sunday afternoon. The mantle of responsibility has started settling, and my mind races to meet the needs of this gentle craft we call the Masons of Michigan. And so the journey begins, please return to follow me along ....
